QR Codes, Coupon Codes and Fair Prize Draws for Shops and Events

Updated 20 October 2026 · 6 min read

Make a printable QR code that never expires, create unique coupon codes to import into your online store, and draw giveaway winners fairly.

A shop launch, a market stall or a school event often needs the same three things: a QR code on a poster, discount codes for customers, and a fair way to pick prize winners. All three tools run in your browser with no account, so nothing you create is stored or tracked by this site.

1. A QR code that keeps working

Type or paste a link into Text or URL in the QR Code Generator, set the Size between 128 and 512 pixels, and select Download PNG. The code is static: the link is stored in the pattern itself, with no redirect through another server, so it never expires and needs no subscription.

What it opensType this

A new emailmailto:hello@example.com

  • Keep it short. A shorter link gives bigger squares that scan more easily.
  • Print it big enough. Make the code at least a tenth of the scanning distance: about 20 cm for a poster read from 2 metres.
  • Keep the white border and place the code on a plain, light background.
  • Test with two or three phones before printing anything.

A static code cannot be edited after printing. Check the link carefully, or point the code at a page you control and can update later.

2. Coupon codes for your store

In the Coupon Code Generator, set the Number of codes and the Code length, add a Prefix (optional) such as SALE- or WELCOME10- so you can tell campaigns apart, and select Generate Codes. Every code in the batch is unique and chosen with your browser's secure random generator.

UseSuggested length
One public code for a poster6–8 characters
One code per customer10–12 characters
Gift cards and high-value vouchers12–16 characters
  • Leave out look-alike characters (0, O, 1, I, L) is on by default, so customers do not mistype codes from a flyer or receipt.
  • Turn on Add a dash every 4 characters for long codes: K7QM-3XPA-9WTD is easier to read out and type.
  • Download as CSV gives one code per row under a code heading, ready for bulk discount imports in Shopify, WooCommerce and similar stores.
  • Use Download as TXT or Copy all to paste the codes into an email tool or mail merge.

The codes themselves carry no discount. Set the amount, expiry date and usage limit in your store after importing them. Codes are not saved on this site, so keep the downloaded file until they are loaded.

3. A fair prize draw

Number the entries, for example by their row in a spreadsheet of sign-ups. In the Random Number Generator, set Min to 1 and Max to the number of entries, set How many to the number of winners, tick Unique numbers only and select Generate.

  • Unique numbers only works like drawing tickets from a hat without putting them back, so nobody can win twice.
  • Draw a few extra numbers as reserves in case a winner cannot be reached or is not eligible.
  • Both ends of the range are included, so 1 to 250 can pick entry 250.
  • Numbers come from a cryptographically secure generator, so every entry has exactly the same chance.

Record your screen or run the draw on a live stream, and publish the entry list first. Participants can then see that the winners were not chosen in advance.
