Which developer tool do you need?
| If you want to… | Use |
|---|---|
| Read or check JSON from an API | JSON Formatter or JSON Validator |
| Make JSON as small as possible | JSON Minifier |
| See what's inside a token or encoded value | Base64 Decoder |
| Put text safely into a link | URL Encoder |
| Read a Unix time from a log | Timestamp Converter |
| Create unique IDs | UUID Generator |
Good to know
- Encoding is not encryption. Base64 and URL encoding change how data is written, not who can read it. Anyone can decode them.
- Pasted data stays local. API responses, tokens and config values are processed in your browser and never logged or uploaded.
- Formatting doesn't change data. Formatting and minifying only change whitespace; keys, values and their order stay the same.
- Seconds or milliseconds? A 10-digit timestamp is in seconds and a 13-digit one in milliseconds. The converter works out which.
