How to Fix Sideways Pages and Put PDF Pages in the Right Order

Scanning a stack of papers rarely goes perfectly. One page comes out sideways, two are swapped, and the scanner adds a blank page after every sheet. All of this can be fixed in a couple of minutes without scanning again.

Why rotating in your PDF viewer does not stick

Most PDF viewers let you turn a page while you read, but that only changes your view. The file itself is unchanged, so it opens sideways again for the next person. To fix it for everyone, the rotation has to be saved into the file.

Rotate pages for good

Open Rotate PDF and add your file. Then:

• To turn every page, use the Left and Right buttons above the pages.
• To turn one page, click its preview. Each click turns it 90° to the right.
• To start again, use Undo to put the pages back.

Rotating only changes a setting on each page. Text, images and layout are not redrawn, so quality is identical and text stays searchable.

Reorder, rotate and delete in one place

When pages are out of order as well as sideways, use Organize PDF. It shows every page as a preview so you can fix the document by eye:

• Drag a page to where it belongs. On a phone, or with a keyboard, use the arrow buttons under each page.
• Rotate a single page with its rotate button.
• Delete blank or unwanted pages with the bin button.
• Add more PDFs to bring their pages into the same grid, then arrange everything together.
