PDUtilities Text Humanizer rewrites stiff, wordy or overly formal writing into a plainer, more conversational tone, swapping robotic phrases for plainer words, adding contractions, and varying sentence rhythm, entirely in your browser.

From stiff to plain English

Some writing sounds like it was assembled from a template: “it is important to note that”, “in order to facilitate”, “a wide range of”. Readers skim past these phrases because they add length without meaning. The Text Humanizer replaces common stock phrases with plainer alternatives, adds the contractions people use when they speak, varies sentence rhythm and tones down heavy punctuation, producing a draft that reads more like a person talking.

What each option does

OptionExample
Simplify phrases“due to the fact that” → “because”; “prior to” → “before”
Use contractions“it is” → “it's”; “we have” → “we've”
Vary rhythmJoins some pairs of very short sentences, splits very long ones at “and”, and occasionally adds a lead-in such as “So,” or “Honestly,”
Simplify punctuationReplaces dashes and semicolons with simpler breaks

Word choices are picked at random from several alternatives, so clicking Humanize again gives a different version. Try a few and keep the one that sounds most like you.

Use it as a first pass, not a final draft

  • Read the result aloud. Rule-based rewriting does not understand meaning, so check that every sentence still says what you intended.
  • Match the tone to the reader. Contractions and casual openers suit blogs, emails and social posts, but not legal documents, formal reports or academic work.
  • Add what only you know. Specific examples, numbers and personal experience do more for natural writing than any word swap.

Use it honestly

This tool improves readability. It does not target, and cannot guarantee anything about, AI-detection software. If your school, employer or publisher requires you to write work yourself or to disclose AI assistance, follow those rules; rewording does not change who wrote something.

Rewriting happens entirely in your browser. Your text is never sent to a server.
