Turning photos into a proper document
Phones make it easy to photograph a document and hard to send it in the format people ask for. JPG to PDF takes one or more JPG or PNG images and places each one on its own page of a single PDF. That gives you one tidy attachment instead of a handful of loose photos, and the pages stay in the order you choose.
If you need the opposite, for example a portal that wants each certificate as its own PDF, choose A PDF per image. Every image becomes a separate PDF named after the photo, and you can download them one by one or all together as a ZIP.
How to use it
- Add your images. JPG and PNG can be mixed in the same document.
- With two or more images, choose the output: One combined PDF or A PDF per image.
- For a combined PDF, use the up and down arrows to put the pages in order. The top image becomes page 1.
- Remove any image you do not want.
- Click Convert to PDF and download the file.
Getting a good-looking result
- Shoot straight on and in even light. A document photographed at an angle stays at an angle in the PDF. Natural daylight without a flash avoids glare.
- Crop before converting. Trim away the table or background with the Image Cropper so each page shows just the document.
- Mind the file size. Modern phone photos are often 3–6 MB each. Ten of them make a 40 MB PDF. Shrink the images first with the Image Compressor or the finished PDF with Compress PDF.
- Rotate sideways photos first. Each page uses its image's own dimensions, so a sideways photo becomes a sideways page.
Making a PDF of the front and back of an ID card? The ID Card Combiner puts both sides on one aligned page, which is usually what forms want.
Privacy
Images are embedded into the PDF directly in your browser and are never uploaded. That matters when the photos are of passports, payslips or signed forms.
