Extract one or more specific pages from a PDF into a brand-new PDF document, entirely in your browser.

Keep only the pages you need

Often you need one part of a long PDF: the signature page of a contract, a single statement from a year of bank records, or one chapter of a manual. The Page Extractor builds a new PDF from just the pages you list and leaves your original file unchanged.

Writing a page selection

SelectionPages extracted
5Page 5 only
1-3Pages 1, 2 and 3
1, 4, 9Pages 1, 4 and 9
2-4, 10-12Pages 2, 3, 4, 10, 11 and 12

Page numbers mean the position in the file, counting from 1, not the numbers printed in the page footers. A report whose first numbered page is preceded by a cover and a contents page will be offset by two.

Several PDFs at once

Add up to 20 PDFs and each gets its own page box. If you want the same pages from every file, such as the first page of each monthly statement, type them once in the box at the top and click Apply to all. Download each new PDF separately or all of them as a ZIP.

Why extract instead of printing to PDF?

“Print to PDF” re-creates the pages through a printer driver, which can change sizes, drop links and sometimes rasterise content. Extraction copies the original page objects, so text stays selectable, vector graphics stay sharp and the file is usually smaller.

Related tasks

  • To produce several separate files at once, use Split PDF.
  • If it is quicker to list the pages you do not want, use the PDF Page Remover.
  • To combine extracted pages from different documents, use Merge PDF.

Sharing part of a sensitive document? Extracting only the relevant pages is an easy way to avoid sending information the recipient does not need.
