Compress Image to 100 KB reduces any photo to under 100 KB automatically. It picks the highest JPG quality that fits and only scales the picture down when quality alone isn't enough, so you get the best-looking file that meets the limit, without uploading anything.
When you need an image under 100 KB
- Scanned documents such as certificates, ID cards and mark sheets on application forms
- Product and listing photos for marketplaces with upload caps
- Images for emails, where small attachments open faster on mobile data
Every form sets its own limits. Check its instructions for the exact file size, format and pixel dimensions before you upload.
What fits in 100 KB
100 KB is enough for a clear photo around 1000 pixels across, or a readable scan of a single document page. Text in scans stays legible as long as the page isn't scaled down too far, so crop away blank borders first with the Image Cropper.
How it gets your image under the limit
- If the image is already under 100 KB, you get it back untouched.
- Otherwise it's saved as a JPG at the highest quality that stays under 100 KB.
- If even the lowest quality is too big, the picture is scaled down a little at a time until it fits.
Need a different size? Change the number in the box, or use the full Image Compressor to compress by quality instead.
